The poem “Wait for Me” by Konstantin Simonov,  was very great and in many ways

inspirational. While reading this poem I was able to relate in multiple instances to my own life.
At times in life we may feel at odds with success or have no faith in ourselves this can be very

hard to overcome. However others close to us  having belief in us, that we might not have in

ourselves can keep us going. I am a strong believer in anything is possible and nothing is

unobtainable, if we believe and work hard towards goals. The poet exemplifies this in the way

the poem is structured.

The poet use the same line “wait for me” and “wait when” in multiple stanzas to create
meaning. This repetition creates a feeling of persistence as though the wait is long and dreadful

the faith is what drives the outcome. Finally when the thing desired is reached the the repetition

is stopped  as well. This change amplifies the transition in tone from despair to triumphant. Also

the way it was written seems to give a sense of division between those who believe in luck

creating success and those who believe success results in luck. Overall the poem conveyed to me

a sense of appreciation in the wait and hardship it takes to get somewhere which will ultimately

make the finish all the worthwhile.
